Who am I in a nutshell? In short, I am a Professional Illustrator and Hand Lettering Artist in Huntsville, Alabama that specializes in Mid-Century stylized illustrations for print. When it comes to Invitation Design, Print, Apparel, and Branding, illustration is my one true calling. To me, there’s nothing more thrilling than brainstorming up a new illustration on a fresh piece of paper and the excitement of seeing it to fruition.
Though I fell in love with every artistic discipline throughout my youth, I decided to pursue my degree in Graphic Design at Auburn University. While I was in school, I had the privilege of working for Auburn's Office of Professional and Career Development. For my senior year in college, I developed posters, flyers, and banners for the College of Business's student events. I also was fortunate enough to be a part of a design group that had the chance to create concept work for the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery.
In May of 2014, I landed my first agency job with Red Sage Communications. While working with Red Sage, I conducted web sessions and logo sessions in partner with marketing coordinators. I created designs for a wide variety of projects, including: logos, print materials, social media designs, web projects, html/css programming, web design, and web updates.
Fast forward to October 2016, my husband and I were blessed with our beautiful son Luke. After almost 3 years of working at an agency and numerous well-known businesses, I decided to say farewell to agency life. Now, I work from home as a illustration artist, blogger, and small online shop owner featuring quality templates and hand-illustrated designs.
When you work with me, you are working with a professional who doesn't cut corners. All of my illustrations are rendered by hand with my own signature handmade Photoshop brushes. These brushes are made from REAL scanned-in textures.
Throughout my career I have had the privilege of working with a variety of clients: Decatur Animal Care, Alabama Launchpad, Russell Forest Products, Gateway Commercial Brokerage, The Lodge at Gunter Hollow, Decatur Public Library, Decatur Downtown Redevelopment Authority, WBCNA, and more.
